Skyler

Well, I'm sure you all know that Little Skyler Modahl join our family on April 22nd at 10:30 am. He weighed 6 pound 15 oz and was 21 inches long. We had some issue with bring him into the world because his cord was wrapped around his neck twice and his little arm. So, every time I had a contraction his heart rate would drop. But, he finally made it here! And is as cute as a button.

Skyler came down with a bad case of jaundice while in the hospital and had had to be under tripe billy lights when he was not out for feedings. It was really hard because his levels where still high and he could not go home with Drew and myself and had to stay in the hospital. But, we do have him home now and he is doing great!! I think he has my nose, Drew's chin and toes. He loves kisses and is the best little guy!

Allie is having some issue with him but today was the first day that she has warmed up to him. She loves to snuggle up against him and give him kisses. I love having him here and think he is the greatest addition to our family!

Oh The joys of being pregnant!

Yes! those are my feet! As Darin likes to call them little sausages! So, we went to the doctor's yesterday and still no progression. I'm retaining everything.. Can you blame while Skyler would not want to come out? He has it made in there.. All the food he wants, it's warm, he does not get disturbed at all.. but, in the mean time he is driving his mother nuts!

As of Wednesday this week, was my last day at work. I went on Maternity leave.. and honestly, I have had one day off and I'm already board. So, lets hope that he comes soon because I don't know what I'm going to do if I have to wait much longer. Today Brittany and I are going to the scrapbook expo so lets hope that all the babies around there and walking will make Skyler come out!

Happy Birthday Drew!

So, for some reason my last post about Drew messed-up my blog. So I decided to delete it and let you know what we did for his 26th birthday! Drew and I had to work all day but after we both got off we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It was super YUMMY!! After that we decide to go to Target to go get the game Battleship. Came home, Drew played with his new Softball bag and then played me a game in Battleship where he kicked my butt. Looks like I'm going to have to learn how to cheat better!

The Walking Time Bomb!

So, yesterday we went to the doctor's again... and this week we did not progress at all! But, I figure it is ok because Skyler is just like his mom and wants to make sure she gets her to-do list done before he gets here. One of those things is to go on 2 dates with my HUSBAND!! So, tonight we are going on a date. Drew is taking me out to dinner then to the U2 light show. I'm very excited because we have not had just us time in a while and if we dont get it now.. when will we?

So, we have started going in for our weekly check up with the doctor!! and oh boy.. Are they fun! I'm progressing from what the doctor says but not as fast as I would like. I'm dilated to a 1.5 so to make myself feel better I'm just going to say a small 2 and only 50% effaced. Which is an improvement from last week. Hopefully, next week it will be further along. I'm getting to the point where I just don't want to share my body anymore! I know it's selfish but I think I have been pretty patient considering Skyler has been in there for almost 9 months! His lease is up!!
